Lotte Skjodt

Lotte is a Chartered Physiotherapist and the owner of Motus Physiotherapy. Her aim is to provide highly skilled physiotherapy for the local population.

She has 22 years of experience in the NHS at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) where she worked closely with rheumatologist and orthopaedic doctors in the Peter Wilson Sports Injury Clinic from 2003-2010, was a team leader for the outpatient department since 2004 and most recently as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP). An FCP is an advanced diagnostic role to assess, diagnose and recommend treatment or onwards referral for musculoskeletal assessement in the secondary care system.

Lotte has a special interest in sports injuries, neck, jaw and headache problems, which she treats with many different modalities including acupuncture.

Lotte is a keen runner and has completed numerous marathons. She doesn't believe in simply stopping activity if injured but recommends adopting a SMART training schedule instead - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-framed. Her most recent claim to fame is 'poster girl' on the Cambridge half marathon 2019.

Global health has been part of Lotte's life for many years working for Cambridge Global Health Partnership. She travelled to Myanmar to set up a programme for Physiotherapists in Yangon as independent thinkers and introducing best practice.

In 2014 and 2019 Lotte was nominated by patients and staff for the 'You Made a Difference Award' at CUH.
